The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team is in third place after 18 holes of the Southern Conference Women’s Golf Championships. The Mocs shot 306 at Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C.
Violeta Fernandez-Tagle led the way with 75 as the wind whipped through the 18 holes. Kera Healey was next with 76 followed closely by Giulia Foresta’s 77. Makenzie Cooper added 78 for the counting scores.
The Mocs return to the tee Tuesday morning at 9:20 a.m. Chloe Stevenazzi leads off followed every 10 minutes by Cooper, Foresta, Healey and Fernandez-Tagle.
They are paired with Furman and UNC Greensboro.
