Labor Day At The Post Is Sept. 1 At Barnhardt Circle

Labor Day at the Post is set for Monday, Sept. 1, at Barnhardt Circle in Ft Oglethorpe, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Admission is free. Thi s is Fort Oglethorpe’s biggest event of the year. There will be live music all day. This year’s lineup features headliners Montgomery Gentry, featuring Eddie Montgomery, along with Emily Ann Roberts, Scotty Inman and a full lineup of regional artists. Lookouts Sweep Doubleheader, Have Won Five Straight

After another rainout on Wednesday evening the Chattanooga Lookouts swept their doubleheader against the Montgomery Biscuits on Thursday and have now won five straight. In Game One starting pitcher T.J. Sikkema had another strong start going four innings and allowing just one run on two hits. In the second inning Ruben Ibarra hit his team leading fourteenth homerun with a solo shot in the second inning.
