William F. "Bill" Tidmore, 67, of East Ridge, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001.

Mr. Tidmore was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had retired from Chattanooga School System, having taught at Kirkman High School and Hixson High School. He was of the Methodist faith and owned and operated Tidmore's Lawnmower Service. He was a member of St. Elmo Masonic Lodge #773 F&AM, the Ooltewah Order of Eastern Star and the Brainerd Optimist Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Comiskey Tidmore; a son, Eric Tidmore, both of East Ridge; three daughters, Ann Hoover of Ringgold, Ga., Cindy Griffin and Lynn Enos of Springdale, Ill.; his mother, Hope Sells of Chattanooga; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
