Leroy Goodwin Jr., 51, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Goodwin was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1968 graduate of Riverside High School and was employed by Petroleum Transport Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Watkins and Leroy Goodwin Sr.; brothers, Booker T. Watkins and Ocie V. Wiley.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Goodwin; daughter, Marsia Lee Goodwin of Chattanooga; brothers, Alonzo Al Goodwin of Chattanooga and Emanuel J. Watkins of Decatur, Ala.; sisters, LeGurtha Goodwin of Houston, Texas, and Delores Parker of Montclair, Calif.; children, Erica M. McNeal, Adrain Troran, Kenneth D. Goodwin, DeJuan L. and Edward L. Moore Jr., all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Bobbie J. Houston of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor William Clark officiating.
Burial at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The body will lie in state on Friday after noon at the funeral home.
