Upcoming Special Event Road Closures Announced

The Chattanooga Division of Transportation announced the following upcoming special event road closures:

Pops On The River -
The following roads and locations will be closed on Thursday, July 3 from 3-10:30 p.m. for Pops On The River:
• River Street between Tremont Street and the Renaissance Park parking lot;
• The east sidewalk crossing the Market Street Bridge will be closed for security purposes; and
• Areas of Renaissance Park will be restricted for fireworks set-up. 


Nightfall  - 
The following roads and intersections will be closed Friday, July 4 for Nightfall.
Closure times are noted:
3 p.m.-midnight
• Cherry Street between E. MLK Boulevard/Georgia Avenue and E. 8th Street. Access will be maintained to the parking garage from E. 8th Street. 

3:30 p.m.-midnight
• Martin Luther King Boulevard between Broad Street and Lindsay Street;
• Market Street between 10th Street and 8th Street;
• Georgia Avenue between E. 10th Street and Patten Parkway; and
• All street parking within the above closures.


Jefferson Heights 4th of July Block Party -
Jefferson Street between E. 19th Street and E. 18th Street will be closed Friday, July 4 from 2-9 p.m. for the Jefferson Heights 4th of July Block Party.
