It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Lisa Durrett Hailey, of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee on June 30, 2025.

She was born on July 1, 1965, and raised in Eutaw, Al. She attended the University of Alabama College of Business in Tuscaloosa, Al. Upon graduation, she worked for the Federal Reserve in Birmingham, before continuing her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and Tennessee.
She moved to Lookout Mountain, Tn. in 1999. She was active in her community and was a past president of the Lookout Mountain School PTA, a member of the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, an active member and leader of the Bible Study Fellowship and a dedicated volunteer for many years at Thrive at Brow Wood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin King Durrett and Juanita Ernestelle Parker Durrett.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Scobell Hailey, her children, Parker Sellers Hailey and Mitchell Scobell Hailey, all of Lookout Mountain, her brother, Russell Parker Durrett (Maija) of Ann Arbor, Mi., her in-laws, Mitchell Sellers Hailey (Carter) of Alexandria, Va., Kenneth Lake Hailey (Jennifer) of Lookout Mountain, Ga., and Julie Hailey Clark (Bruz) of Rising Fawn, Ga. She is also survived by nieces, Martha (Ben), Elliott and Elizabeth, nephew, Theodore and a host of family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, in the fellowship hall of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church from 2:30-3:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the sanctuary at 4 p.m., officiated by Reverend Frank Hitchings.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga (www.rmhchattanooga.com) in her honor.
