Received Awards For Work At Abe Prebul

Carolyn Sue Shattuck, 65, of East Ridge, died in a local hospital Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clarence Shattuck, Sr. and Geneva Heffner Shattuck.

She was a former member of Daisy Baptist Church and St. Peter Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School and attended Tennessee Tech. In high school she was an outstanding basketball player, having been selected most valuable player in the district tournament.

She worked for various businesses in the Chattanooga area as secretary bookkeeper, including Abe Prebul Jeep in East Ridge. There she received several awards from American Motors for her outstanding work.

She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Judge Clarence and Ruth Shattuck of Hixson, Leon and Monika Shattuck of Soddy-Daisy and Las Vegas and Eugene and Linda Shattuck of Mims, FL, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. and Honorable Sam Payne officiating.

Family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service on Saturday.

Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Shattuck III, Jeff Shattuck, Chester Reed, Houston Culver, Earl Culver and Gary Culver.
