SLAMPOZE 2004
Join Chattanooga's first and only interactive poetry group, Rhyme-N-Chatt, for the annual, one of a kind poetic extravaganza. Local poets compete in Chattanooga's only three-style poetry contest for various prizes. Call (423) 314-5155 or (423) 400-1040.

DORA THE EXPLORER LIVE! - SEARCH FOR THE CITY OF LOST TOYS
Dora the Explorer Live! is an all-new theatrical presentation starring the adventurous Latina heroine, Dora, along with Boots, Swiper and all her friends! With the help of the entire audience, Dora solves puzzles and overcomes obstacles to find her teddy bear in "The Search for the City of Lost Toys." "SPEND AN EVENING ON MOUNT EVEREST"
At 6:30 p.m. drinks, food, and a silent auction. At 8 p.m. Scott Graham, local athlete, will talk about his recent summit of Mount Everest followed by a special viewing of the "Everest" IMAX film. RICHARD SCARRY’S “BUSYTOWN”
BUSYTOWN is a hands-on, interactive exhibit based on the beloved stories and characters by Richard Scarry. Students who enter BUSYTOWN will work, create, count, sort, build, weigh, play and explore alongside Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat, Hilda Hippo, Sergeant Murphy, and Mr. Frumble, in a small scale, brightly-colored reproduction of the workaday world. WORLD'S LONGEST YARD SALE
This 450-mile long yard sale runs along U.S. Hwy 127. It begins at Covington, Ky., runs south to Chattanooga, then switches to the Lookout Mountain Parkway and continues on to Gadsden, Ala. (800) 327-3945.

SOUTHERN BREWERS FESTIVAL

GRANDPARENTS & GRANDKIDS CRUISE

COOLIDGE PARK FOUNTAIN AND CAROUSEL
Chattanooga Parks, Recreation, Arts & Culture Department has turned on the fountains at Coolidge Park for the Spring/Summer season. Everyone is welcome to cool down and splash around in the interactive fountains at Coolidge Park. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., 7 days a week. The carousel remains open to the public Monday-Saturday, noon - 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, 1-6 p.m. The cost is 50 cents for children 12 and under, $1 for adults and 50 cents for seniors. CHATTANOOGA MARKET
A weekly open air market in a historic downtown foundry. The Market features: hand-crafted works of art sold by the artist, seasonal farm direct, tax-free produce, lunch in the Market Café, a climbing wall, chef demonstrations, live music, art projects for kids, and a city skate park adjacent to the Market.
