CARTA's new ambassadors
The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority welcomed new ambassadors during a ceremony held to honor their commitment to serving both CARTA and the Chattanooga community.
The event featured keynote remarks from Chattanooga City Councilwoman Raquetta Dotley, who shared her personal experiences riding the bus, highlighted the role of transit drivers, and emphasized the importance of community voices in shaping public services.
This year’s group includes: 11 fixed route operators, three Care-A-Van operators, two Incline Railway team members and five vehicle maintenance staff.
Officials said, CARTA ambassadors serve as trusted advocates, helping to bridge communication between the agency and the public. They play a vital role in sharing information, gathering feedback, and promoting access to reliable, inclusive transit across Chattanooga.
