Flat Top Mountain Farm invites the public to experience the beauty of lavender season during its annual Lavender Festival, taking place June 5– 22, every Thursday through Sunday. Nestled on a 200-year-old family farm with mountain views, the festival features lavender fields in full bloom, local artisan goods, live music, hands-on workshops, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, said officials.
“We love opening our farm during bloom season and sharing the beauty of the mountain with others,” said Kerry Hughes Dishman, co-owner of Flat Top Mountain Farm. “There’s something special about connecting with nature, music, and community.”
Flat Top Mountain Farm is at 638 Bowman Cemetery Road in Soddy Daisy. Opening day for the festival is June 5. Hours will be Thursdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Fridays from 4-8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be food trucks and the storefront will be open Fridays-Sundays. While the farm is located in the Central Time Zone, all festival hours are listed in Eastern Time.
Admission is $5 per person with children 13 and under free. U-Pick Lavender is $10 per bundle (includes scissors and take-home tube).
Visitors can pick their own fresh lavender, enjoy lavender-themed treats like lemonade, cotton candy, and ice cream, browse local artisan and handmade goods and attend hands-on workshops.
Bluegrass and Lavender Night is set for Saturday, June 7. Gates open at 6 p.m. with live music by Wilson and Cross beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per person, kids 13 and under free.
