  • Friday, May 23, 2025

The Chattanooga Lookouts four game winning streak was snapped on Thursday night in a 7-5 loss to the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Arij Fransen entered the game as a reliever for the Lookouts in the sixth with a 4-2 lead. However, a costly error led to five unearned runs by the Trash Pandas. Starting pitcher Kevin Abel gave a strong starting performance for Chattanooga allowing only two runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

Designated hitter Sal Stewart continued his torrid hitting with a 4-4 performance at the plate. He is now hitting a team leading .331. Reliever Joel Valdez threw three shutout innings in relief to keep the Lookouts in the game but they were unable to claw back.

The two teams return to action Friday night at 7:15 p.m. There will be fireworks after the game.
