Jfest on Saturday celebrated its 25th year of bringing the Tennessee Valley together to kick off the
summer with a day of live music and family fun. With 11,366 people in attendance, this year’s Jfest set a new record as the most attended festival in its 25-year history.
Festival Director Ted Gocke said, “From start to finish, the festival was nothing but good. We had record-breaking attendance in our 25-year history. Even with mud on the ground, people were still having a great time and making the most of it. It didn’t dampen spirits—that’s for sure.”
Pray Chattanooga, the festival's prayer partner, was on site with 45 volunteers offering prayer and counseling as thousands gathered at the Tennessee Riverpark to hear music that uplifts the name of Christ.
Danny Hesterly, who led the Pray Chattanooga prayer team at the festival, said, “This year, 45 prayer partners from Pray Chattanooga volunteered their time to pray for the festival and its attendees. One volunteer in particular spent the day in the Prayer and Counseling tent, listening to people’s stories and needs, and praying with them individually.”
With its 25th year now in the books, the team at Partners for Christian Media—the parent organization of Jfest—looks forward to continuing its mission of bringing families together across the Tennessee Valley.
