One of Chattanooga’s music traditions is set to return this fall as the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival announces its full lineup for 2025. Taking place Oct. 3 and 4 at Ross’s Landing on the downtown riverfront, the 18th annual event promises another weekend of bluegrass by the river — and remains entirely free to the public.
Made possible through the support of Fletcher Bright Realty and produced by Chattanooga Presents, the festival continues to celebrate both contemporary and traditional bluegrass with a talented lineup.
The festival kicks off Friday evening, Oct. 3, with a performance by host band, The New Dismembered Tennesseans, at 5:30 p.m. A group of local favorites, the band includes longtime musicians who carry on the legacy of the original Dismembered Tennesseans, a group founded more than 75 years ago by Fletcher Bright and his high school classmates at McCallie School. The festival, named in honor of Bright’s three daughters, has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated musical events.
Following the opening performance, the Friday night schedule features Fireside Collective and Keller & The Keels, with headliners The Travelin’ McCourys closing out the evening.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, the lineup continues with a full day of standout performances. Festivalgoers will enjoy sets from The Brothers Comatose, Michael Cleveland & Jason Carter, Kruger Brothers, and ShadowGrass. Additional acts include Big Richard, Country Gong Bang, Randy Steele & High Cold Wind, and the Berklee College of Music Fiddlers, offering a dynamic mix of bluegrass sounds throughout the day.
In addition to the music, the festival experience includes a wide variety of local food trucks and beverage vendors offering everything from craft brews and cocktails to non-alcoholic refreshments. Official 3 Sisters merchandise and artist merchandise will be available for purchase on-site, including live T-shirt screen printing.
Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the music comfortably. While outside food and beverages are not allowed, wheelchair-accessible seating will be available near the stage to ensure the festival remains inclusive for all attendees.
