Professional Glenn Hudson teamed with amateurs Ray Morton, Craig Reasor and Kyle Hayworth to share the title of the Harold Eller Pro-Am

The team headed by Holston Hills Country Club assistant professional Dylan Moncus recorded 16 birdies on Tuesday to earn a share of the title at Yamaha Harold Eller Pro-Am staged at Old Hickory Country Club.
Joined by amateur teammates Scott Smith, Steve Golliher and John Thomas, Moncus’ team closed with five birdies to shoot 16-under 55 for the day to finish at 27-under 115.
Professional Glenn Hudson of Knoxville’s Dick’s House of Sport helped guide his team to a share of the title with a 14-under 57 on Tuesday to also post a final score of 27-under 115. Hudson partnered with amateurs Ray Morton, Craig Reasor and Kyle Hayworth.
The team of professional Chad Adams of Stones River Country Club teamed up with Joey Richardson, Brent Long and Jason Millard to finish third at 26-under 116 after shooting 15-under on their final round.
Ben Wolcott of Dickson was the low professional in the Open division at 10-under 132, while McLemore Club assistant Josh Wall and Tre Mullins of Fairways and Greens tied for second at 8-under 134.
Loren Personett of Mt. Juliet claimed Senior professional honors with a score of 11-under 131, three shots better than runner-up Allen Fennell of Kingsport who shot 8-under 134.
Craig Reasor was the low amateur in the Open division at 12-under 130 after shooting 64 on Tuesday. Jason Millard, Trenton Johnson and Payne Denman tied for 2nd at 10-under 132.
Tullahoma’s Alan Jones was the Senior amateur medalist with a score of 11-under 131, narrowly defeating Kyle Hayworth who shot 10-under 132.
Sciortino Has Strong Start At Junior PGA
Andrew Sciortino is tied for 20th in the Boys Division after the opening round of the Junior PGA Championship in West Lafayette, Ind. The Brentwood native collected five birdies – including three straight on holes 14-16 – to shoot 3-under 68 on Tuesday.
Sciortino made the most of his late addition to the field as an alternate where he trails leader Chase Yenser of Pennsylvania by four shots.
Brayden Bennett of Nashville posted a 1-under 70 in his first round, while Ben Blackburn of Franklin sits at 3-over 74 as the field will be trimmed to the top 60 plus ties after 36 holes.
In the Girls Division, Carlee Rogers of Hixson and Knoxville’s Addisyn Newman both recorded rounds of even par 72 to open play, good for a tie in 33rd place and seven shots off the lead. Poppy Pewitt of Dickson is tied for 119th after a round of 7-over 79.
Herrington Posts Solid Round at Western Amateur
Jackson Herrington, Dickson native entering his sophomore year at the University of Tennessee, shot 2-under 68 in his opening round of the 123rd Western Amateur on Tuesday. But one of Herrington’s future Vol teammates stole the show.
Tyler Watts, a Tennessee commit who is entering his senior year of high school in Huntsville, Ala., blistered the Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Ill. with a round of 8-under 62 to snag a two-shot lead.
Franklin transplant Ethan Evans, who competes collegiately at Duke, joined Herrington at 2-under 68 to land in a tie for 22nd.
Knoxville’s Evan Woosley-Reed closed at 1-under 69 (T37), while his Tennessee teammate Lance Simpson posted a 3-over 73 along with Ole Miss senior Cameron Tankersley of Dickson.
Incoming University of Tennessee at Chattanooga freshman Evan Rogers of Duluth, Ga. is tied for 57th after a round of even par 70.
The field will be reduced to the low 44 scores and ties following Wednesday’s play.
