Robert Tracy Anderson Jr
With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Tracy Anderson Jr., who left us on July 25, 2025, at the age of 50.
Robert was born on March 4, 1975, and throughout his life, he was known for his quiet strength, his generosity and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Though he spent his early years trying to find where he belonged, he ultimately became a steady, meaningful presence in the lives of many – someone who made everyone feel welcome, seen and cared for.
He built a career working in concrete, using his hands and heart to create lasting work. But more than that, he built a life rooted in love.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Kelly, and a proud father to his children, Brady and Marley – his greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. His love for them was constant and deeply felt.
Robert brought light into every room. He had a gift for laughter, and an easy warmth that made people feel at home. He loved to cook, and after every meal – no matter how simple or elaborate – He’d say with a smile, “This is the best thing I’ve ever made.” He meant it every time.
He had a passion for sneakers, especially a fresh pair of Jordans, and a soft spot for good comedy. His favorite movies included Pineapple Express and Stepbrothers, which he could quote line for line – always to the delight of those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Anderson; his children, Brady and Marley Anderson; his father, Robert Anderson Sr.; his brothers, Kevin Hammontree, Wayne Anderson and Clayton Anderson; his sister, Sarah Tritt; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Robert lived simply, loved deeply and gave freely. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need – and many times, he did just that. He didn’t measure life by what he owned, but by the love he shared. His kindness, loyalty and humor will live on in everyone who knew him.
The visitation will be held at Lane Funeral Home- Coulter chapel on Friday, Aug. 1 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
