Music lovers are in for a rare treat as internationally acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist Doyle Dykes brings his talent to The Barnhardt Event Center on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m.
"With a style uniquely his own, Doyle Dykes blends influences from country legend Chet Atkins to rock icons like Duane Eddy and The Beatles," officials said. "His playing is a masterclass in skill, soul and sincerity—captivating audiences with every note.
"Doyle’s versatility shines through in compositions like Jazz in the Box, Martha’s Kitchen and his stirring rendition of How Great Thou Art.
His music has been featured by Windham Hill Records, Disney’s California Adventure, NPR and even aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
"Throughout his career, Doyle has toured with The Stamps Quartet and Opry legend Grandpa Jones, played alongside icons such as Les Paul, Peter Frampton and Vince Gill, and graced venues ranging from the Grand Ole Opry to international music conventions.
"He’s been honored with numerous awards, including Instrumentalist of the Year (twice) by the ICGMA and induction into their Hall of Fame. He even earned a place on the “Wall of Fame” at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, the legendary venue where The Beatles got their start.
