2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division II have been announced and the Lee University men's golf team had three recognized. Drew Zielinski, Mitchell Strickland, and Bennett McNabb.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate’s degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
McNabb was a Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team member while Zielinski and Strickland were College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
198 NCAA Division II athletes from 76 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt All-America Scholar honors. Georgia Southwestern and Saint Leo led the division with five recipients. 16 other NCAA Division II schools had four recipients, including Anderson (SC), Barton, Findlay, Fort Hays State, Harding, Henderson State, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry, Ohio Dominican, Oklahoma Christian, Parkside, Rockhurst, Tiffin, USC Aiken, Valdosta State, and Wayne State (MI).
