Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Uniformed Services Captain Jamie Fields and Investigative Services Captain Hank Ritter graduated on Monday from the executive leadership training program, the 10 Project.
The 10 Project is a management-based program created by The Brock Center and is designed for individuals in executive leadership positions. It is taught by experienced business leaders and educators throughout the community working or specializing in a multitude of disciplines from the public, private and non-profit sectors.
This program consists of 10 mentors and 10 mentees and is comprised of 10 leadership-based modules taught over a 10 month period.
“As a former graduate of the 10 Project, I can personally attest to the importance of this leadership course and how the principles it teaches mentees can systematically foster and sustain an environment of higher learning and professional development within an organization. A strong leader knows they do not operate in a silo and true leadership begins when you put your team and your organization’s priorities first and lead by example,” said Sheriff Austin Garrett.
"With the completion of this program, Captain Fields and Captain Ritter will become a Brock Fellow and join a distinct group of graduates and business leaders who are making an important impact in our county and the organizations they serve by leading others based on a foundation of values-based principles," officials said.
“As your Sheriff, I believe it is vital for our agency to invest in professional development for our team. The principles taught in this course align closely with my vision for cultivating strong, effective leaders within the HCSO and county. I commend Captain Fields and Captain Ritter for successfully completing the 10 Project. The values and experience they’ve gained and the relationships they’ve built with fellow mentees and mentors will strengthen their leadership within both the agency and our county. I look forward to seeing more members of our team benefit from this impactful leadership program as your Sheriff’s Office continues to lead the way," said Sheriff Garrett.
Captains Fields and Ritter have become the fourth and fifth individuals from the HCSO to graduate from the 10 Project, following Sheriff Garrett, Chief Deputy Spencer Daniels and Chief of Staff Ron Bernard.
"Please join us as we congratulate Captains Fields and Captain Ritter on their completion of the 10 Project and thank them for their service to this agency and our county," officials said.
