Nichole Michelle Irvin
Nichole Michelle Irvin, age 45, passed away on July 9, 2025, at a local healthcare facility in Chattanooga. She was born on Aug. 12, 1979, in Chattanooga.
Nichole was a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, graduating from Chattanooga State College. Over the course of more than 20 years at Erlanger Medical Center, Nichole touched countless lives through her care, warmth and generosity. She was known for her gentle spirit and genuine concern for others, always greeting everyone with kindness and empathy.
A devoted mother and beloved role model, Nichole brought people together—her talent for hosting memorable family gatherings became her hallmark. She was a vibrant presence, a natural leader and a source of strength and encouragement to all who knew her. Her skills in the kitchen were admired by many, and her acts of kindness and deep love left a lasting impact on both family and friends.
Nichole’s faith was central to her life. As a member of Born-Again Christian Church, she sang in the choir and contributed to her church community with boundless energy. She filled every room with laughter, joy and light, and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Nichole was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Edward Thompson and Laurel Thompson; her brother, Nicholas Thompson; her children, Gabrielle Marie Thompson and Kendrick Irvin, Jr.; and her grandparents, Samuel L. Lattimore and Barbara Lattimore, and Emmett Thompson, Jr. and Thelma Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Kendrick Irvin, Sr.; two daughters, Monica Williams and Arica Forte; three granddaughters, Leilani Forte, Thalia Robinson, and Maleigha Forte; one grandson, Keanon Nicholas Williams; her sister, Tonya Thompson; nieces, Alana Allgood, Kayla Allgood and Nina Palmer; a great-niece, Jaziah de'Ann Allgood; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
On Monday, Aug. 4, public viewing will begin at 9 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, Tn., 423-622-9995.
