The VTX Club, 415 Georgia Ave., is a membership club with indoor golf simulators. The Chattanooga location joins others in Atlanta and Nashville. It is considered to be a coffee and cigar lounge that also sells consumer beer.
It was one of three permits handed out by the city beer board.
The Signal, 21 Choo Choo Avenue is an event space and concert hall that is adding one new owner, which triggers the need for new inspections and a new beer permit. It is open now and operating with the old permit. After the new inspections, the new license will be issued by the city’s Regulatory Bureau, since all other requirements have been met.
The owners of White Duck Taco 1519 McCallie Ave., applied for and were given a consumer on premise beer permit to go along with the ABC permit that allows the sale of liquor. There are five local owners of the Chattanooga location, which is a franchise out of Ashville N.C. where there are several of the restaurants.
A carry-out beer permit was approved for ONE11EVEN Vape & Smoke, 1948, Northpoint Blvd, Unit #110 in Hixson. And Nikki Miller owner of Nikki’s Lounge, was given a permit to sell beer at 4011 Brainerd Road, Unit #101. The business specializes in soul food, and also caters.
Riverfront Nights free summer music series will be taking place again this year at the Chattanooga Green at Ross’s Landing. The organizer, Mickey McCamish, was given a temporary beer license for 10 Saturdays from July 5 through August 30. Most of those nights the free concerts with local food, drinks and lawn games will start at 4 or 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.
