Robert Edward Lee, Jr., 72, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away on May 22, 2025, from complications due to surgery.

He was born on Jan. 20, 1953, to the late Robert E. Lee, Sr., and Nadine Lee. He graduated from Brainerd High School. He worked most of his adult life with Craft Castle and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Robert’s true work or passion if you will was painting, crafting and collecting antiques. He enjoyed sharing his “work” with people through his booth at the Vinterest in Hixson.

Robert loved his family and friends, especially celebrating birthdays and holidays together. His friends and family will all miss him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, LuAnn Battaglia.

Left behind to cherish Robert’s memory are his sister, Karen Thomasson (Mark) of Nashville, his brother-in-law, Joe Battaglia (Tammy), his niece and her children, Emily Brieck (Jon), Marybelle and Anderson; also of Nashville, his other niece, Alanna Battaglia (Fiancé, Nick Gemo) of New Jersey, and his nephew and his children, Andy Thomasson (Rachel); Maggie and Laurel, also of Nashville, and many dear friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 S. Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
