Norman, Velma "Maggie"

Velma “Maggie” Norman died on July 5, 2005 at her residence in Ooltewah, TN. She was a faithful member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Watkins; husband, Wilbert Norman; sister, stepdaughter and grandson.

She is survived by her five children, Leroy (Loraine) Norman, Ponchatula, LA; Ida L. (Albert) Gibson, Ooltewah; Isaac of Biloxi, MS; Henry of Chattanooga; Shirley (Paul) Massengill of Harrison; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Lamar Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after noon Friday at the McCallie Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
