Sunrise Farm, LLC, a facility for weddings, craft shows and other events, will celebrate its opening on Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. The farm is located at #2749 on Highway 301 South in Trenton, Ga. The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will assist with a ribbon-cutting to mark the occasion.
Owners said, "Situated on 12 acres atop Sand Mountain overlooking Trenton, the three-generation family farm includes a restored 1920's farmhouse, a new three-story barn and a gazebo, all making Sunrise Farm the perfect setting for hosting any special event or simply getting away for the weekend."
The floor of the barn is a large, open space perfect for table settings or a dance floor. It has a small, corner stage, bathroom facilities and features a 50's style kitchen with black and white checkered floor, diner booths, a bar and barstools and a soda fountain.
The second floor guest facility is equipped with a full kitchen, dining area, spacious living room, a master suite, along with a large deck overlooking the gazebo and peaceful farmland surrounding the barn. The loft has an open, spacious feeling with beds to sleep six and a large bathroom. Views from the second floor and loft are spectacular.
Perfect for photo opportunities, large fields with apple trees surround the farm and a breathtaking bluff view is located just across the road on farm property.
The large gazebo is a wonderful setting for any party or wedding ceremony. A long paved path leading from the back of the barn to the gazebo has landscaping and a trellis on either side running the entire length of the path.
Beginning as the home of John and Mary Shelton in the early 1900s, Sunrise Farm has been in the Shelton family for three generations. Current owners are the Sheltons' grandson, Rudy, and his wife, Edna. Mr. Shelton was an Allstate Insurance agent for 35 years, and together the Sheltons owned Commercial Real Estate for 25 years.
