Connie Daniel Ochsenbein, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025 at the age of 69.

Connie was a devoted wife of 48 years to her loving husband, David Ochsenbein, and the proud mother of Adam Ochsenbein and Amanda (Hunter) Kirkpatrick. She was also a joyful and doting grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Delaney.

Her life was further enriched by the close bond she shared with her sisters, Renee Bean and Lois Shavers.

Family was everything to Connie, and her life was full of laughter, love and memorable adventures.

She especially cherished beach vacations with her husband and children, where she soaked in the sun, the waves and the joy of simply being together.

Connie also loved the excitement of casino trips- whether it was the thrill of the slot machines or the fun of traveling together, she embraced every moment with a smile and sense of fun that was contagious.

For over 30 years Connie worked as a cafeteria manager with Hamilton County Schools. She was deeply devoted to the students she served, treating them as her own. Her kindness, care and dedication made her a beloved member of the school community, and her work family held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and uncle - loved ones whose memories she carried with her always.

Connie will be remembered for her big heart, her devotion to family, her playful spirit and her ability to make the most out of life. Her warmth touched everyone who knew her, and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 18 from noon-2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
