Barbara Ross Vaughn, 78, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at her home.

She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Oliver Vaughn, parents, Earl and Lola Ross and a brother, Earl Ross.

Survivors include her son, Ray (Judy) Vaughn Jr. of Chattanooga; two daughters, Debra Vaughn and her son, Alex Vaughn of Chattanooga and Janice (Woody) Dejernette of Panama City, Panama; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, with the Rev. Clay Moreland and the Rev. Tony Walliser officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
