Julia “Julie” Broome, 78, of Red Bank, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at her home.

A native of Anniston, Al., she had lived in Pascagoula, Ms., before she and her loving husband moved to Chattanooga in 2006. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry F. Broome Sr.; daughter, Linda (Thomas) Miller; son, Jerry (Wan) Broome Jr., Singapore/Saudi Arabia; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Stephen) Godbehere, Lesleigh (Jeremy) O’Dell, Knoxville, Benjamin and Amira Broome, Singapore/Saudi Arabia; five great-grandchildren, Drew, Maddie, Ethan and Jon Ryan Godbehere and Emily O’Dell, Knoxville; sister, Marty (James) Howard, Pascagoula; two sisters-in-law, Lou Holloway Estes, Arkansas and Shirley (Charles) Barker, Jasper, Al.; several nieces, nephews, great- and great-great- nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at O’Bryant and O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with burial in Machpelah Cemetery.
