Trooper Tudors Placed On Diversion On Assault Case

Tennessee Highway Patrol officer Clinton "Pumpy" Tudors was placed on pre-trial diversion in his assault case.

He appeared before in Marion County Criminal Court on Tuesday before Judge Buddy Perry.

Trooper Tudors, a former UTC football player, had faced a misdemeanor charge of simple assault.

After a period of 11 months and 29 days, the assault charge will be dismissed and expunged from his record.

A jury previously found Trooper Tudors not guilty of a number of felony charges, but was unable to reach a verdict on the remaining assault case.

His attorney Johnny Houston, said, "Although Mr. Tudors maintains his innocence, this is an outcome whereby all parties, including the alleged victim, can put this matter behind them and Mr. Tudors can be assured of a clean record."
