Anthony "Tony" Maxey, 48, of Summerville, Ga., died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Maxey was born July 4, 1962 in LaFayette, Ga., the son of the late Bobby Joe and Mary Frances Garmany Maxey. He was employed with Apache Mills.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxey was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Joe Maxey and Greg Maxey.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Bernie Hickman; grandchildren, Dakota Hickman, MaKenzie Hickman, and Kaceon Hickman; nephew, Tanner Maxey; and nieces, Shelly Maxey and Amber Maxey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Southerland officiating. Private interment services will be held at Subligna Cemetery.
Mr. Maxey will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7.
