Annelle "Ducie" Jackson, 85, died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia Area. She was a member of Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church and a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jackson; parents, James and Vernie Byars; and sisters, Norma Wright and Sarah Morgan.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Barry Stoker, of Chickamauga; sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Gay Jackson, of Soddy Daisy, Mike and Angela Jackson, of Unicoi, Tn., and Greg and Brenda Jackson, of Soddy Daisy; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brian Kurtz and Pastor David Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday.

The family would like to thank Mary & Martha's Assisted Living and At Peace Hospice Care for their love and kindness during this difficult time.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
