Sheriff Calls Off County Jail Visitation Due To Jailer Pink Eye Outbreak

Sheriff Jim Hammond said Monday there was no visitation at the county jail today and one day last week due to an outbreak of pink eye among correctional officers.

He said five of the jailers are currently out with the ailment.

Sheriff Hammond said the visitation will be resumed when there are enough jailers on hand to safely bring prisoners for the visits.
