Marine Corps Veteran Held Long Career At Olan Mills

Dennis Landon Mainord, Jr., 51, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

He was a faithful member of the Sale Creek Church of God, served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and retired from Olan Mills after more than 22 years of service.

His father, Dennis Landon Mainord, Sr., preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mainord; mother, Sally Beasley; daughter, Angela Mainord; son, Wesley (Tabby) Mainord; stepsons, Terry (Tammy) Stewart, Jody Stewart; grandchildren, Josey, Sabrina, Brooke, Demetra, Rachel, J.T. and Casey Stewart; great-grandson, Cayden Landon Gates; sister, Sharon (Allen) James, Charlotte (Ralph) Brumley; brother, Steven (Elena) Mainord and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, at the Sale Creek Church of God with Bishop Terry Bolton and Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating. 

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 16, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
