Lula Mae O’Shields, 73 of Chattanooga passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, surrounded by family.
Originally from Peeks Corner, Ala., she lived her adult life in the Chattanooga area, retiring from DM Steward.
She was preceded in by parents Dewey and Maude O’Shields, brothers Lewis, William “Bill”, and Jack O’Shields.
Lula is survived by two sisters, Virginia Smith of Lilburn, GA and Betty Faye Mitchell of Fyffe, Ala., and sister-n-law, Betty O’Shields of Flintstone. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, most of whom, she made sure were excellent card players!
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
