Fire Captain Davis Dies At St. Elmo Fire Hall

Chattanooga Fire Department Captain Roulos Davis fell ill shortly after reporting to work Monday morning at Station 14 in St. Elmo. Despite efforts by his fellow firefighters to revive him with CPR, Captain Davis died shortly after arriving at the hospital. He was 49.

The exact cause of death has yet to be determined, but it appears he died of natural causes, officials said.

Captain Davis had been with the department for 25 years.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
