Terrence "Terry" Sanford Parks, 69, died on October 14, 2013. He was born on December 26, 1943.   

Terry was a 1961 graduate of the McCallie School and a 1966 graduate of the University of Chattanooga.  He was owner and president of TSP Corporation for 12 years. He also operated a charter flight service for organ transplant teams with his son Bart.  He served several area churches in music ministry with his wife Betty.  Terry was a member of Woodland Park Baptist church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Beatrice Parks. 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Betty H. Parks, son Bartlett S. Parks (Bart) and his wife, Stephanie, daughter, Taryn P. Chapman and her husband, Terry of McCalla, Al., five grandchildren, McKenna and Dakota Chapman, Austin, Victoria, and Camden Parks, brother, Dale H. Parks, sister, Cindy Platts, and half-brother, Buddy Parks. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 3-6 p.m. at Woodland Park Baptist Church.  A celebration of life service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the church with the Reverend Wayne Barber officiating.  

Burial will be on Friday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens on Shallowford Road with the Reverend Bruce Daugherty officiating. His nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1961 graduating class of the McCallie School and Shay Richardson, MD.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
