Elsie Mae Williams Chapman, 99, of LaFayette, GA, died Saturday, December 21, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fields Chapman; and son, Marvin Chapman.
She is survived by her daughters, Katie “Bob” Wilhelm, of LaFayette, Margie Crisp, of Ringgold and Doris (Shep) Archer, of Rock Spring; sons, Dr. Harlan (Doris) Chapman, of Dalton, Buddy (Delores) Chapman and Steve (Rosalind) Chapman, all of LaFayette; sister, Nell Bacon, of Columbia, SC; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Monday, December 23 at 3 p.m. conducted by grandson Rev. Tony Tucker. Pallbearers are Kent Chapman, Ricky Archer, Shawn Tucker, Max Morrison, Zack Chapman, and Zeb Chapman. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
