Fire Damages House In Red Bank Sunday Morning

Fire damaged a house in Red Bank Sunday morning. At 9:30 a.m., a neighbor called 911 reporting a possible house fire at 200 Lancaster Avenue (Red Bank area). 

The Red Bank Fire Department responded and reported fire showing on the back side of the house. Firefighters quickly conducted an interior attack and contained the fire to the kitchen and den area. Red Bank fire officials requested a Mutual Aid response for additional manpower.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and Walden's Ridge Emergency Services responded to assist Red Bank.

Hurbert and Reecie Reneger, homeowners, told fire officials they smelled smoke coming from the kitchen area. They escaped without injury. Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation with the Red Bank Fire Department. Damages are around $50,000. The Renegers were insured and will be staying with family members.
