  • Wednesday, April 17, 2013

A man whose car crossed the centerline on Middle Valley Road last Aug. 6 and killed the driver of another vehicle pleaded guilty on Wednesday to vehicular homicide and DUI.

John Westin Massey, 29, appeared before Criminal Court Judge Barry Steelman.

He will be sentenced later.

Tracy O’Neal was killed in the head-on crash.

The sheriff's office said the 46-year-old victim was driving a 2008 Ford Focus northbound on Middle Valley Road and Massey was driving a 1998 Ford F250 southbound "when for reasons unknown at this time, Mr. Massey crossed the center line and the vehicles hit head on."

The traffic crash was investigated by Deputy Robert Stockburger, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
