Dunaway, Lathaniel (Trion)

Lathaniel Dunaway, 86, of Trion, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his residence. 

Native to Monroe, GA, he was a son of the late Clarence Lyzander and Irene Hardigree Dunaway. He was a member of the Trion First United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, and was retired rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. 

Mr. Dunaway was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Haygood Dunaway on July 8, 2004; and a sister, the late Glenda Bennett. 

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen (Allen) Adair of Marietta; son, Barry (Susan) Dunaway of Calhoun; sister, Sherry Watkins of Douglasville; grandchildren, Robby and Joey Dunaway, Emily, Claire and Anna Faith Adair. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. David Autry and Rev. Jennifer Andone officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. 

Earle Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
