John “J.L.” Miller, 94, of Dalton, GA, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at NHC-Healthcare in Rossville, GA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Mae Miller; parents, John Lewis and Minnie Miller; and brother, Alton Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Gerald Mason of Crandall, GA; son, John Miller of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Brian and Alan King, Drew Mason and Paxton Morgan; and nephew, Jim Miller.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Miller will be held Sunday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Renfroe Watson and Rev. Chris Mullis officiating. Burial will be at Miller Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Saturday, July 20, from 5-8 p.m.
