Dorothy Claire “Dottie” Waszak, 75, of Chattanooga died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

She was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Bloomfield, N.J., to the late Thomas and Helen Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Mitchell and Richard Mitchell.

She was the greatest mom ever.  She had a way of making everyone feel special. Mrs. Waszak taught Sunday School for the three-year-olds at Brainerd Baptist Church for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Josef Waszak; three children, Joseph Waszak, Donna Miller (Bradley)  and Susan Waszak; sister, Alice Mitchell and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Advantage Chapel with Reverend Leyla King officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 21, from 7-9 p.m. and from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday.
