Construction of a new highway interchange in Cleveland will begin soon after Talley Construction Company was announced as the apparent low bidder at $22,569,994.69.

The new interchange, to be named in honor of Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland, will give access to a new industrial and commercial area.

The industrial park is owned by Cleveland and Bradley County. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has placed a top priority on the project.

The APD 40 interchange is between Exit 20 at I-75 and U.S. 11.
