Man Shot At Apartments On Tunnel Boulevard Wednesday Afternoon Dies; 2 Juveniles Shot At Rec Center On Oakwood Drive With Suspects In Custody

A 24-year-old man who was shot at the apartment buildings at 404 Tunnel Blvd. on Wednesday at 1:21 p.m. has died.

He was identified as Kenny Breylon Hall.

Residents said they heard multiple shots fired. 

Witnesses said they saw multiple suspects fleeing the scene on foot behind the complex. 

Later Wednesday, two people were shot at the Washington Hills Recreation Center.

At approximately 4:54 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 4628 Oakwood Dr. for a person shot.

Neighborhood residents said they heard multiple gunshots in the area.

Officers located a 17-year-old black male suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital.

A second victim, a 16-year-old black female, was later found to be suffering from a single gunshot wound, which is also non-life threatening.

Officers have potential suspects in custody.

Police said they have no reason to believe that this shooting is related to the earlier shooting on Tunnel Boulevard.
