Kaylor, Bruce "Blackie" (Cleveland)

Bruce “Blackie” Kaylor, 69, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at the family residence.

He was the son of the late Jessie Bruce Kaylor and Annie Pauline Baxter; and was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Kaylor; and his step-father, R.C. Bill Baxter.

Blackie was retired from Hardwick Stove with over 28 years of service. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Auxiliary Coast Guard. He was also a member of the Washington Ave. Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Jessie Kaylor and his wife Amy; two granddaughters, Shelby and Erica Kaylor; his brothers, Billy Baxter and his significant other Renee Wood and Dennis Baxter all of Cleveland; three nieces; and one nephew.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, October 9 at the Wildwood Ave. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Home with Rev. Beecher White and Rev. Gary Higgins officiating. The interment will follow in the Boanerges Baptist Church cemetery with Jeremy Cooley, John Lay, James Hope, Mitch Baxter, Kris Baxter and Nicky Herron serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
