GPS, Notre Dame Play For State Soccer Titles Today

The GPS Bruiser and Notre Dame Lady Irish girls soccer teams will play for state soccer tittles Saturday in Murfreesboro.

GPS won 3-0 on Friday in the Division IIAA state semifinals over Brentwood Academy.   Lindsay Rufolo, Emily Large and Mya McGee each had a goal.  

GPS will play Briarcrest who beat Father Ryan 2-1.   The game is set to kick off Saturday at 4 CST on the championship field at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex.

In Class A/AA, Notre Dame beat Spring Hill 4-0 in their quarter final match on Wednesday.  Sofia Olenchek and Emma Higgins each had two goals.  On Thursday, the Lady Irish beat Jackson Christian 2-1 with goals by Kelsey Barta and Emma Higgins. 

Notre Dame faces off with Knox Catholic who beat Chester County and CCS in their road to the championship game. 

The Class A/AA championship game is scheduled for 1:30 CST on the championship field .
