Police Blotter: Man With Large Tattoo On Neck Sought For Stealing Fruit Delivery Vehicle; Spider Web Tattoo Is Clue At Stockdales

A man with a large tattoo on the side of his neck is being sought in the theft of a vehicle used by a man who delivers fruit to gas stations.

George William Garland said he stopped at the Kangaroo on Tennessee Avenue. He said his 2012 Mazda M3 was taken while he stepped back to the dumpster.

He had left the keys in the ignition.

Video showed the white male with the tattoo, dark hair and a goatee arrive as a passenger on a green and black sport-type motorcycle. He walked around the car, then into the store. He then came back out and got into the Mazda, then drove off.

He went north and the motorcycle went south.

The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, a knit cap and dark jeans.

A man with a spider web tattoo on his elbow is a suspect in an attempted theft at Stockdales on Highway 153.

Store personnel said a white male and two white females (ages early 50s and late 20s) were caught trying to conceal merchandise. When confronted, they quickly departed.

They left in a white Chevrolet Astro van after damaging $427 in clothing by forcing off the security tags.

At the Family Dollar on Rossville Boulevard, the manager said he saw "Ms. Ridley" picking up several bottles of fragrances and putting them in her pockets.

After he questioned her, she went to pay, then she bolted for the door. She got away with two bottles of perfume and some ladies' underwear - valued at $3.

She got into a green Pontiac van with Georgia tags.

Police said the same woman was involved earlier in the day in a disorder on 2nd Avenue.

The Family Dollar manager was able to snap a picture of her and her vehicle. Police said that confirmed it was the same woman.

A warrant was taken for theft under $500.

A woman on Calhoun Avenue said she saw a white male walk into her backyard.

He proceeded to steal her blue Roadmaster bike worth $200.

A customer at the Economy Inn on Brainerd Road said his room was dirty and had bed bugs. He said he was bitten several times.

He said "stuff" was peeling off the walls and there were thumb tacks on the floor.

He asked for his money back. The clerk said the policy is not to give a refund if the guest has stayed at least 30 minutes.

A woman on Anderson Avenue said she heard a noise downstairs.

She spotted a black male and yelled for him to leave.

Police found that the back door had been kicked in.

Nothing was taken.

Police made a traffic stop on W. 12th Street that resulted in several arrests.

There was a strong smell of marijuana. The driver, Kristopher Moore, admitted he had been smoking it.

The front-seat passenger, Danzel Owens, acknowledged having a gun. A pistol in a holster was at his feet.

The Hipoint 40 caliber was loaded with a bullet in the chamber.

Owens admitted drinking liquor from an open container. He was charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Police said both back-seat passengers were validated members of the Tree Top Piru gang.

They were Ladarius "Man Man" Cross and Terrance "T-Bird" Careathers. Cross was charged with possession of marijuana and aggravated criminal trespassing. Careathers was taken in on a warrant from Walker County, Ga.

At the Supershine Car Wash on Brainerd Road, a thief did not get any money but managed to wreak over $1,000 in damage to a vending machine.

A video showed him first trying to get into the machine with a prybar.

Then he used a hammer to try to pound in the prybar, but that still did not work.

He is between 5'9" and 5'11" and was wearing a Hollister zip up hooded sweater.
