Mary Gilley
Mary Vendetta Gray Gilley, 88, of East Brainerd, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mrs. Gilley was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Jennie Gray, three sisters, Mildred Stafford, Frances Miller, Nancy Alice Gray; three brothers, Robert Gray, Samuel Gray and Willie Dean Gray.
She was a dedicated wife of 66 years to her husband, Everett T. Gilley; devoted mother and homemaker to four children, Deborah (Phil) Huddleston, Punta Gorda, Fl., Karen (David) Tatum, Marathon, FL., Kimberly Gilley, Chattanooga; and her son, Mark who preceded her in death in 2006; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Marie Gilley and Jacob Mark Gilley, both of Chattanooga; sister, Shirley Shipley, Kingsport, Tn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew Vandegriff officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
