Jay Vee Hicks, 84, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014.
He was born on May 20, 1930 to the late George and Myrtle Hicks.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie; three sisters, Esther, Julia Ann and Mary; three brothers, Leonard, Marvin and Raymond.
He is survived by three sons, Jackie Hicks, Michael Hicks (Grace) and Nick Nipper (Karen); sister, Addie Marie Pickett; brother, Kelly Hicks (Sandy); eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday November 24, at 2 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Interment will follow at McDabb Cemetery in Marion County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
