Nicholas S. Hawkins, 37, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at a local hospital.
He was a former Boy Scout and graduated cum laude from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2004 with a B.S. degree. Nicholas was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mickey Hawkins; grandparents, W. G. Nichols and Clyde and Grace Hawkins; uncles, Jerry Hawkins and Jonathan Nichols; and aunts, Barbara Tilley and Shirley Harrison.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Nichols Hawkins of Calhoun; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Nichols of Calhoun; uncle, Billy Nichols of Calhoun; aunt, Jane Everhart of Niota; special niece, Mecalah Senters; special cousin, Misty Senters; and special friends, Shari Mehok, Asiah Mehok, Amber Houchin, Ashley and Aaron Womack, Daryl Davis, Dena Johnson Myers and Tammy Ogle Stanford.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Minister Doug Bird officiating. The interment will follow in Calhoun Cemetery with Ezekiel Snyder, Titus Snyder, Matthew Hall, Kurt Rogers, Landon Senters, Brent Senters, Vince Crabtree, Aaron Womack and Forrest Jones serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 28 at the Fike Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
