Harriett Rose "Peggy" Walker, 84, of East Brainerd died on Thursday, November 27, 2014.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mrs. Walker was retired from the Baptist Student Union at UTC.   She was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Henry Walker.

Survivors are her daughters, Beth (Rev. Bill) Mason, Chattanooga and Rose (Steve) Hixson, Knoxville;  son, James Andrew (Sandy) Walker, Apison;  sisters, Mona Billings, Cocoa, Fl., and Judith Caldwell, Knoxville; brother, Phillip Fann, Knoxville;  seven grandchildren, Rebekah, Joseph, Jonathan, Brandon, David, Allison and Brittany; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Bill Mason and Reverend Steve Roper officiating. Burial will be on Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Fund % Morris Hill Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
