Police Release Suspect Information In Indecent Exposure Case At Bus Stop On Boyce Street

  • Friday, November 7, 2014

Police are investigating an indecent exposure incident that occurred on Tuesday, at 2620 Boyce St. Lot 27 (a local bus stop).

The suspect is described as a white male, 140-145 pounds, 5'9" tall, 35-40 years old, with a beard and long hair.

Officers were advised that the suspect in a tan pick-up truck with tinted windows drove up to the bus stop and showed a pornographic video to a minor. The suspect then got out of the truck and exposed his own privates to the minor and drove away.

District officers have been monitoring area bus stops and investigators are continuing to investigate.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released if available. If anyone has information regarding this suspect, they are asked to call 423 698-2525. If anyone sees any suspicious behavior or any possible suspect that may be related to this incident, they are asked to call 911 immediately.

The CPD suggests the following safety precautions for bus stops/indecent exposure:

1.      While waiting for the bus, stay in a safe place away from the street.

2.      Stand at least five giant steps (10 feet) away from the edge of the road.

3.      Be aware of your surroundings.

4.      Never approach an unknown vehicle.

5.      If faced with a perpetrator run in the opposite direction of the perpetrator’s car.

6.      Attempt to contact a known and trusted person.

7.      Call police immediately.

Call 911 if something happens to you or someone else, or if a person notices anything out of the ordinary. It is important to report incidents immediately.
